Voilà quelques jours que nous remontons vers le centre de l'Argentine en passant par Mendoza et Bueno Areas. La spécialité de l'un étant le vin, on en proffite pour faire quelques visites des alentours à vélo : bilan plutot décevant, on se retrouve à pedaller en pleine zone industrielle ( faisant office de vignoble ) et à boire de la piquette. On repartira donc aussi vite vers Bueno Areas histoire de changer d'air.
La capitale est vraiment sympa et bien qu'on ne soit pas trop fan des grosses villes on apprécie les coins brocantes de San Telmo et le quartier ultra coloré de La Boca où le foot et le tango sont rois. On re-réalise qu'on est au pays de Messi et Maradona et même si ce dernier a pris un gros coup de vieux sont visage est PARTOUT.
Une chose que nous n'avons pas mentionnée depuis notre arrivée en Argentine est l'addiction qu'ont les gens avec le "mate". C'est une sorte de thé qui se boit dans des petites calebasses à l'aide d'une paille ( 6'eme photo). On a gouté et sur le coup on a un peu eu l'impression de chiquer du tabac ... On retentira l'expérience ailleurs :)
Depart demain pour l'Uruguay, direction Colonia Del Sacremento.

We ve been travelling during a few days in the center of Argentina via Mendoza and Bueno Areas. Mendoza is big for its vineyards, so we decided to rent bikes and cycle around the area. We had high expectation and had been disappointed at the end. We found ourselves in the middle of an industrial area ( surrounded by vineyard ) drinking cheap wine. So we left the place quickly to get to Bueno Areas.
The capital is really nice and although we are not fan of cities we appreciate the suburb of San Telmo for its markets and the ultra colored La Boca where football and tango are omnipresent. Don't forget that we are in the country of Maradona and even though he doesn't play anymore, his face is just EVERYWHERE.
One thing we have not mentioned since our arrival in Argentina is the addiction that people have with "mate". It is a kind of tea they drink in small gourds using a straw (6th photo). We tasted it and we felt like we chewed tobacco ... We will give it another try elsewhere :)
We're heading for Colonia del Sacramento in Uruguay right now.
