6 heures : c'est ce qu'il nous aura fallu pour rejoindre Luang Prabang depuis Vang Vieng. A bord de notre mini bus, on fait connaissance avec un couple et leurs 4 enfants ( 4 a 8 ans ) voyageant en mode "backpack" : Oui c'est possible !
Luang Prabang , c'est un peu comme Vang Vieng sans les bars, la fête et le tubing : un havre de paix qui est classé UNESCO et ça se sent sur les tarifs :) Aucune négociation n'est possible ici, on opte donc pour le vélo et longeons le Mékong et les vallées environnantes. Nos soirées ici se passent dans la rue où nous mangeons riz et nouilles frits pour moins de 2 euros avec la très renommée BeerLao en extra. Le marché de rue nous sert de promenade et on y retrouve avec surprise quelques vestiges de l'indochine francaise.
Prochaine étape: Nong Khiaw, un peu plus loin, un peu moins citadin.

6 hours : That's what it took us to get from Vang Vieng to Luang Prabang with our minibus. On board, we met a couple and their 4 kids ( 4 to 8 years old ) who decided to backpack across Laos : Yes this is possible !
Luang Prabang is a bit like Vang Vieng except you will not find tubing , nightlife and drunk people yelling at night time : Quite a nice place to relax actually :) The little town is classified by UNESCO and is very nice to walk around albeit a bit expensive (especially for the tuk tuk ). We enjoyed cycling along the Mekong and eating delicious fried rice and noddles for dinner. By night, the market start to get active and we've been surprised to find many traces of the "french indochina" period.
Next step Nong Khiaw.
