Nos premiers jours au Vietnam

19h d'attente et 7h d'avion plus tard nous voilà au Vietnam. Le chaos des villes indiennes a du nous marquer car on se retrouve dans un Hanoi plutôt calme et facile malgré la densité du trafic. On restera 2 jours à Hanoi afin de s'imprégner doucement et surtout de se reposer. La suite va de soi : Halong Bay à 2h de Hanoi , reconnue comme le site numéro 1 dans le pays et classé au patrimoine mondiale de l'humanité.

On a donc évité les tours organisés et avons passé 2 jours sur "Cat Ba island" qui se situe dans la baie. Au programme : kayak , baignade et promenade en bateau. On s'attendait à un lieu bondé de monde mais bizarrement on se retrouve seuls la majorité du temps. Le type qui nous emmène en bateau nous dépose sur un ilot ( vide une fois de plus, ) on sourit : "Les voilà enfin les plages de rêve". On continue malgré tout vers le sud du pays et on quitte ce petit paradis dès demain, direction Ninh Binh.

It took us almost 30 hours ( from Mumbai ) to get to Hanoi, so "yes" we were quite exhausted in the evening. The chaos of Indian cities was certainly a good training because we found Hanoi easy to walk around despite the traffic density. We stayed two days in the city in order to get some rest and manage a trip in the Halong Bay which is part of world heritage ( a must-to-see in Vietnam ).

We avoided the tours and spent two days on "Cat Ba island" which is located in the middle of the bay. The program included : kayaking, swimming and boat trips. We were actually surprise as we expected a place packed with people and we found ourself alone most of the time. The guy who takes us by boat drops us off on an tiny island were we got access to beautiful beaches. Cat Ba and the surrounding are stunning but we will continue to the south of the country and leave this paradise tomorrow. Next step Ninh Binh.
