It took us 13h from Yangshuo to Shenzhen ( the border) via a sleeper bus and after the traditional passport checking we finally reached hong kong which is not really part of China, and we realized it quickly. Our room was in Kowloon : a very active area where touts roam the sidewalks. Our ground floor was like the headquarters of the Western Union where Indians and Chinese place orders in US dollars all day ... In short, a real show, which denotes with the strict side of China! We quickly decided to spend our days on the other side of the bank on the island of Hong Kong where the rides at the top of the "Peak Tram" gave us amazing views of the business district. Our evenings are relaxed here because we could easily spend our budget for the year in less than a week. We usually seat on the banks with our takeaway dinner and admire the "Symphony of Lights" sound and light produced by the lights of buildings, just great!
